DENTON, Texas (Sept. 5, 2025) – After closing the 2024-25 season as Lone Star Conference Regular Season Champions for the third straight season, LSC Tournament Champions for the second straight season and a repeat appearance in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, the Texas Woman's Basketball team prepares for their 2025-26 campaign.

We are bringing experienced players, transfers and dynamic freshman who are ready to make an impact. Our team has a passion to be the best we can possibly be. We loved the way the community came out in waves to support us last season, and we look forward to having all of Pioneer nation back in KMA cheering us on for another incredible year."
TWU will open the season at home in Kitty Magee Arena, as they host the DII CCA Tip-Off Classic on Nov. 7 -8. The Pioneers will meet Wayne State on Nov. 7 and close the classic with a game against Harding on Nov. 8. It will mark the first meeting between TWU and Wayne State, while the meeting with Harding will be the 10th all-time.
Following the home opener, TWU will go on the road for the Conference Challenge with the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in Colorado. Over Nov. 14 and 15, the Pioneers will play Colorado School of Mines and University of Colorado Colorado Springs. UCCS is coming off an appearance in the South Central Regional Tournament last season, where they fell in the opening round to Lubbock Christian.
TWU continues their nonconference schedule at home on Nov. 19 against Southern Nazarene, who closed their 2024-25 season in the Central Regional Tournament in the quarterfinal round to Fort Hays State.
The Pioneers will then go back on the road to meet Pittsburg State, who they have not played since 2009.
The LSC schedule begins for TWU with a road trip to Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International on Dec. 4 and 6.
Following the trip to south Texas, the Pioneers close 2025 at home with a conference meeting against St. Mary's on Dec. 16 and a nonconference game against Dallas Christian on Dec. 20.
The new year begins with a road trip on Jan. 2 and 4 to play at UT Permian Basin and Angelo State.
On Jan. 8 and 10, the Pioneers return to Kitty Magee Arena to play Sul Ross State and Western New Mexico.
Then, after a road trip to St. Mary's on Jan. 15 and to St. Edward's on Jan. 17, TWU will host Midwestern State on Jan. 22, followed by a rematch of the South Central Regional Title Game against Lubbock Christian on Jan. 24.
TWU travels to Eastern New Mexico, another South Central Regional Semifinalist on Jan. 29. Then, they will go to West Texas A&M, also a South Central Regional Semifinalist, on Jan. 31.
The Pioneers will host a three-game homestand beginning with a game against UT Tyler on Feb. 5, who TWU beat in the final game of the 2024-25 regular season to clinch the LSC Regular Season Title. Oklahoma Christian will visit on Feb. 12, and Cameron will close out the homestand on Valentine's Day.
For the final road trip of the regular season, TWU will play at UT Tyler on Feb. 17 and at new LSC opponent UT Dallas on Feb. 21.
The Pioneers will close the regular season at home against Texas A&M International on Feb. 26 and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Feb. 28.
