Senior Amie Boles (pictured) has been selected as the TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.) for the week of Oct. 25-31, 2008. Boles is a native of Snellville, Georgia and a product of The Georgia Gymnastics Academy.

Earlier this month, Boles was picked by her teammates as one of the tri-captains for the 2009 TWU Gymnastics team.

Head coach Frank Kudlac said Boles has embraced her role as a captain and has stepped up her leadership both in and out of the gym.

"Amie has proven over the last few weeks she will be an exceptional leader for this team. She has a refreshingly consistent work ethic, attitude, and demeanor," he explained.
