Junior Alexa Brennan (pictured) has been selected as the TWU Gymnastics Pioneer of the Week (P.O.W.) for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5, 2008. Brennan is a native of Centennial, Colorado and a product of the Colorado Gymnastics Institute.

Brennan was honored as the P.O.W. in recognition of her dramatic improvement in the team's fall 2008 practices.

"Alexa knows that her time is now," said TWU head coach Frank Kudlac. "She's got a real shot to contribute for us on beam this year and, to her credit, she is doing everything in her power to get better. She's been very focused and very driven. Her hard work was illustrated by her team-high 9.600 score on beam at our intrasquad meet."
