2010 TWU Gymnastics Home Meet Promotions

SEASON LONG PROMOTIONS (all subject to change):

 
• Wear your “Pioneer Proud” TWU Gymnastics t-shirt to the meet and receive a FREE popcorn from the TWU concession stand.

• Have your birthday party with TWU Gymnastics! One special birthday child will celebrate their birthday at each 2010 home meet. Birthday party package includes: cake and presents in Pioneer Hall room 102 prior to meet, reserved seating at meet, and a photo and t-shirt from the TWU gymnasts.

• FREE Holiday Inn "9.7" club t-shirts thrown into the stands for every 9.7 score earned by the Pioneers.

• Chicken Dance contest between the first and second rotations (the randomly-selected winners will receive coupons to an area restaurant) – this contest will take place in the stands while the gymnasts are rotating to their next event.

• “Lucky Program” contest between the second and third rotations – two of our free Meet Day programs will be autographed by a TWU gymnast. The individuals that pick up the autographed programs will receive a gift certificate or gift card to a Denton-area restaurant.

• Handstand contest following the fourth rotation – this will take place on the floor exercise mat. The winners, selected by age group, will receive a gift certificate or gift card to a Denton-area restaurant.

• TWU Gymnastics team autograph session following the announcement of the unofficial final results.

• FREE TWU Pioneer tattoos will be given away at all meets from a table in the main lobby.

• Big Al’s Totally Twisted Balloons will be on hand at all home meets to giveaway his creative balloon shapes (tips are encouraged for this free product.

MEET-BY-MEET PROMOTIONS (all subject to change):


Saturday, Jan. 23 vs. Centenary - 7:00 p.m.

• FREE “Pioneer Proud” TWU Gymnastics t-shirt given away to the first 150 fans through the Magee Arena doors.

Sunday, Feb. 7 vs. Air Force and Northern Illinois - 2:00 p.m.

• Free Youth Admission – all fans ages 17 and under admitted free!

• Private Club Appreciation Night - all private gymnastics clubs in attendance will be recognized by public address announcement at the meet.

Saturday, Feb. 27 vs. Wisconsin-Stout - 7:00 p.m.

• “Think Pink” Meet - this will be the Pioneers’ annual effort to promote breast cancer awareness. The Pioneer gymnasts will be wearing pink leotards. Additionally, all fans coming to meet are asked to wear pink. For every 9.7 scored by the Pioneers or Blue Devils, a pink ribbon will be hung on the Kitty Magee Arena wall. Fans will be asked to donate $1 for every ribbon hanging on the wall when they leave the arena. All donations will go directly to TWU Health Services to help pay for mammograms for TWU students. Also, the first 200 fans through the arena doors will receive a free Breast Cancer Awareness keychain.  

Friday, Mar. 19 vs. New Hampshire - 7:00 p.m.

• TWU Senior Night and Parent Night - the senior members of the 2010 TWU Gymnastics team and the parents of the TWU gymnasts will be recognized with a short ceremony immediately following the meet. 

• Short People Appreciation Night – Anyone shorter than the life-sized stand-up of TWU junior gymnast Kristie Costa at the entrance of Magee Arena will receive FREE admission to the meet.

Saturday, Mar. 27 vs. MIC Championship – 7:00pm

• Free TWU Gymnastics t-shirts (courtesy of the Forum at Denton Station) given away to the first 200 fans. 

• DISD Elementary School Appreciation – free admission to all Denton Independent School District elementary school students with printed coupon from TWU Athletics. 

• Drawing for a $500.00 and $750.00 “Pioneer Pride” scholarship. Open to currently enrolled TWU students only. Current TWU students that come to the meet will enter a raffle to win these scholarships. The scholarship drawings will be held following the conclusion of the meet and the winning students must be present at the time of the drawing. 

• TWU Faculty/Staff Appreciation Night - invited TWU faculty and staff guests will be recognized during the pre-meet introduction of the TWU gymnasts.

2010 TWU GYMNASTICS TICKET PRICES:

 
• $7.00 for adults (ages 17 and up), $4.00 for senior citizens (ages 55 and up) and non-TWU students. Children five and under, TWU students, faculty, and staff are admitted free to all TWU home athletic events with a valid TWU ID. Additionally, TWU faculty and staff will be granted three free admissions per home event for guests of their choice (excluding students in grades 9-12).
