Senior gymnast Tonya Pipkorn won the co-national championship on floor exercise at the 2009 USA Gymnastics Collegiate National Championships Individual Event Finals on Saturday, Apr. 11. Pipkorn's career-high tying score of 9.850 was equaled only by her TWU teammate, Amie Boles. Pipkorn also tied for third in the beam final with a score of 9.750. The Denton native also played a major role in the Pioneers' win in the team semifinals of the Championships when she scored a 9.750 on beam and a 9.700 on floor.
