Sophomore guard Tab Thurmond averaged 10.5 points and a team-high 7.5 rebounds last week (Dec. 4-11, 2011) to help the Pioneer basketball team to a 1-1 record.  The Colony native recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in a 51-44 win against Eastern New Mexico on Wednesday, Dec. 7.  Thurmond also added 11 points in a 70-61 defeat at West Texas A&M on Saturday, Dec. 10.  For the season she is now averaging 10.0 points and 6.0 rebounds.
