DENTON, Texas (Dec. 10) – The TWU basketball team will travel to northeastern part of Caribbean this weekend to play two games in Puerto Rico. The Pioneers will face the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez on Saturday, Dec. 12 at 2:00 p.m. CST (4:00 p.m. Atlantic Standard Time) before taking on the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamón on Sunday, Dec. 13 at 10:00 a.m. CST (12:00 p.m. AST). Both games are played in San Juan, P.R. at UPRB Gymnasium on the campus of UPR at Bayamón.
Both Puerto Rico-Mayagüez and Puerto Rico-Bayamón are members of the NCAA Division II. Both schools play limited DII schedules as independents.
