In the first set TWU jumped out to a 9-2 lead and posted a .350 hitting percentage for a five-point win.  In the second the Pioneers again jumped out to a 7-3 lead and pushed the lead to 10 points, 21-11, with an 8-1 run.  TWU captured a nine-point win after holding the Javelinas to .000 hitting percentage.  In the third set the Pioneers fell behind 7-3 but scored five straight points to go on top.  Leading 19-18, TWU closed out the game with a 6-0 run.

"We served really well and our passing was much better than Tuesday," said TWU head coach Shelly Barberee.  "Briley had a chance to start today and she played great.  I am proud of the team for bouncing back after a tough loss on Tuesday."

The Pioneers will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 26 when they host a non-conference game against East Central.  First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Kitty Magee Arena.
