DENTON, Texas (Oct. 31, 2017) -
Briley Cole-Lewis smashed a career-high 23 kills for Texas Woman's University in a 3-1 victory (26-24, 16-25, 25-20, 25-16) against Midwestern State Halloween night inside Kitty Magee Arena.

Cole-Lewis eclipsed her career-best of 16 kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .537 that included just a single error on 41 attempts. The 23 kills ranks as the third-highest output within the Lone Star Conference this season.
Courtney Noel contributed a season-high 14 kills, and
Katy Ranes tallied her eighth double-double on the year with 56 assists and 18 digs. The Pioneers (12-15, 8-8 Lone Star) recorded season-bests as well with 70 kills, a .310 hitting percentage and 64 assists.
Set one was the closest of the entire match with the squads being tied at 20, 21 and 22. Back-to-back kills by
Makayla Mayfield made it 24-24, and Cole-Lewis delivered two more for the win. The Mustangs (13-13, 6-10 LSC) took control of set two with several runs to finish with a nine-point victory.

The Pioneers grabbed a 5-1 lead in set three with help from
Caroline Noel and Cole-Lewis at the net delivering kills and a block. Kills by
Caroline Noel, Cole-Lewis, and
Courtney Noel handed TWU a 22-17 advantage before Cole-Lewis once again finalized the set with a kill.

A Mayfield kill broke open a 4-4 tie in set four to begin a 5-0 Pioneer run. Cole-Lewis put down a trio of kills for a 23-14 lead, and
Caroline Noel concluded the match with a kill.
