About the Pioneers
TWU is entering the last week of regular season play with games tomorrow at Cameron and Saturday at Midwestern. The Pioneers are 16-10 overall and 9-9 in Lone Star Conference play to sit in sixth place in the standings, a half game above Cameron and two ahead of Texas A&M-Kingsville, with the top eight teams advancing to the LSC Tournament March 2-5 in Allen.
Kenesha Saygo has moved her way up through the Pioneer record books and is now the fourth-leading scorer in TWU history with 1,270 points. She also ranks 10th all-time in steals, 10th in assists and 11th in rebounds. Saygo currently leads the league in scoring with 18.5 points per game.
Alexis Nezianya ranks sixth in the LSC in offensive rebounds per game (2.5), and Nezianya and
Grace Mitchell are tied for fifth in blocked shots with 26 apiece.
About the Aggies
Cameron is coming off of an 82-78 win against Midwestern Tuesday night to up their record to 11-14 and 9-10 in the LSC. The Aggies lead the league in steals per game (10.2) and turnovers forced (19.58). Natalie Halbleb is tops in the LSC in defensive rebounds per game (5.8) and steals (2.1), and Savanna James is first in offensive boards per game (3.2).
History amongst Texas Woman's and Cameron
The Aggies own a slim 23-22 all-time lead over the Pioneers dating to the 1987-88 season. Last season the teams squared off three times with the Aggies taking victories in the two regular season meetings, but TWU ultimately prevailed with a 78-75 win during round one of the LSC tournament.

Kara Mitchell each scored a game-high 18 points off of the bench as Texas Woman's University closed the game against Cameron on a 20-4 run to shut down the Aggies 77-63 Saturday afternoon inside Kitty Magee Arena.
Grace Mitchell notched her third double-double of the season with her career-high 12 rebounds while
Kara Mitchell matched her career-best in points and was clutch down the stretch as she had a play in a trio of quarter buzzer beaters.
Kenesha Saygo scored the entirety of her 14 points all within the second half and
Morgan Easley contributed a season-high 10. The Pioneer subs combined to score 53 points. Defensively, TWU held the Aggies to 17 points below their season average

Emily Spector made the most of her final game inside Kitty Magee Arena with an all-around performance that included a game-high 16 points, team-high six rebounds, career-high four steals and two blocks in Texas Woman's University's 53-48 win over Tarleton State Saturday afternoon.
