THREE THINGS TO KNOW
- This will be the second meeting of the season with both teams. TWU beat TAMIU 70-50 back on January 2 and fell two days later 57-53 to the Javelinas inside Kitty Magee Arena.
- The Pioneers find themselves in a four-way tie for the 12th and final position in the Lone Star Conference championship, alongside Oklahoma Christian, Texas A&M International, and UT Permian Basin. The Pioneers hold a head-to-head advantage over UTPB and TAMIU, but OC picked up a 60-53 win over TWU back on Jan. 11.
- TWU has won three of its last five contests, with all of those wins coming on the Pioneers' home court inside Kitty Magee Arena. The Pioneers look for their first road win in Kingsville since February 18, 2016, when Kenesha Saygo's 14 points led the Pioneers to a 66-55 win.
