ADA, Okla. - The Texas Woman's University volleyball team (5-9) came up on the short end of a 3-0 decision at East Central (6-9) on Wednesday night inside the Kerr Dome.
The Pioneers fell by set scores of 25-19, 25-16, and 25-18.
The two teams were hitting on all cylinders in the opening set, with ECU hitting .531 and the Pioneers hitting .310.
Monica Wood and
Tylar Roberson turned in a team-best seven kills in the matchup, while
Lizzy Reed and
Bailey Wozniak hit double figures in assists with 14 and 12, respectively.
Sydney Stroh led TWU with 10 digs, while
Trixie Oche turned in a team-best four blocks, helping the Pioneers outblock ECU 6-5.
TWU returns to the friendly confines of Kitty Magee Arena on Friday, October 1, hosting Cameron in a 6 p.m. match.
