DENTON, Texas (Jan. 26, 2022) - After a week-long hiatus, the Texas Woman's University basketball team returns to action tomorrow night against Lone Star Conference foe Cameron University.
In their last game on Jan. 20, a non-conference test against Midwestern State University, TWU (10-5, 3-1 LSC) lost the tight-locked offensive battle with the Mustangs, 83-76.
Cameron (10-5, 5-0) played against Angelo State University on Jan. 22 and defeated the Rambelles 100-68.
TWU will look to hand Cameron their first conference loss, as they host the Aggies in Kitty Magee Arena at 6 p.m. on Jan. 27.

TRIPLE THREAT
- POST POWER: In their game against Midwestern State, the Pioneers flexed their power in the post. Ashley Ingram and Ma'K'La Woods both recorded their second career doubles-doubles. Ingram finished with 30 points and 13 rebounds, and Woods scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. Thursday night's game will be a battle in the post.
- DEFENSIVE DEMAND: Cameron is currently second in the LSC in points per game with 79.9. They also rank first in 3-point field percentage, shooting 35.2% per game. The Pioneers will need to lock down on defense and limit the Aggies 3-point shooting to get the win.Â
- WE WANT FREE: The Pioneers are third in the LSC in free throw percentage per game, shooting 74.8% per game. When the Pioneers are getting to the free throw line and shooting a high percentage, it translates positively to their overall offensive impact. With Cameron, who ranks second in the LSC in free throw percentage, TWU will need to limit their fouling, so the Aggies take fewer trips to the free throw line.

EXTRA POINT
- MOYER MAGIC: In her junior season at TWU, Sadie Moyer continues to lead the Pioneers in scoring throughout the 2022 season. She averages 15.1 points per game this season. Over her three years as a Pioneer, she currently has scored 520 points.
