TRIPLE THREAT
  • QUARTER BY QUARTER: In their game on Thursday against TAMIU, the Pioneers exploded in the fourth quarter and scored 25 points, but their second quarter of 14 points to the Dustdevils 22 came back to haunt them in the loss. TWU will need to score consistently in each quarter and defend the Javelinas to get the win on Saturday.
  • ROAD WARRIORS: The Pioneers are 7-3 on the road this season. They have the ability to battle and come out with the wins on the road. Look for multiple Pioneers to make an impact to get TWU's eighth road win of the season.
  • PIONEER PRESSURE: In their win on Thursday, TAMUK's Kryslyn Jones scored 31 points. The Pioneers will need to limit Jones scoring. Also, the Javelinas shot just 29.7% from the field and 33.3% from three. If the Pioneers can limit Jones and TAMUK's 3-point shooting, they can get the win in Kingsville.
