LAWTON, Okla. (Dec. 1, 2023) – The Texas Woman's basketball team is back on the road for their second Lone Star Conference contest of the week. The Pioneers will take on Cameron on Saturday at 1 p.m.
 

TWU (7-1, 1-0) will meet CU (2-5, 0-1) in Lawton, Okla. on Saturday for the 54th meeting between the two teams.

Most recently, the Pioneers opened LSC play against Midwestern State on Thursday night, defeating the Mustangs 90-72. In their opening LSC game, the AggieS fell to UT Tyler at home, 68-47.

The Pioneers will look to build upon their momentum from Thursday night and secure their second LSC win against the Aggies.

AFTERNOON WITH THE AGGIES

• STEP BACK IN HISTORY: Of their previous 53 meetings, TWU has won 29 of those meetings and lost 24. The Pioneers have won their last two games against CU – both of which were played in Denton, Texas. TWU last met the Aggies in Lawton, Okla. on Feb. 27, 2021 and lost 78-70. The Pioneers last won in Lawton, Okla. in 2019. In their meeting last season, TWU won 85-63. Five Pioneers scored in double digits, including two returners, Jada Celsur and Ashley Ingram, who both finished with 10 points.
• SHARE THE WEALTH: In their win on Thursday night, the Pioneers dished out 24 assists – their most in a single game since the 2014-15 season. Ingram led the way for TWU with six assists, which tied her career high. The Pioneers currently average 14 assists per game. On the other side, Cameron averages 12.7 assists per game.
• CRASH THE GLASS: On average, the Aggies are currently being out-rebounded by 4.6 rebounds per game. TWU currently out-rebounds their opponents by a margin of 3.6 rebounds per game. Ingram leads the Pioneers in rebounds per game, averaging 8.4. The Aggies are led by No. 22 Alena Wilson, who averages 8.2 per game.
