Dear Basketball,

I can't believe it is time to say goodbye. Through all the endless practices, games, and team bonding the time has come. Ever since I could walk, I wanted to pick up a ball and dribble it.

I have learned how to be a leader, how to be disciplined, and how to value incredibly amazing moments while being surrounding with your team. You have also taught the value of believing in myself. A huge reason I love this game is because we can be such a huge impact on people's lives. Growing up I was looking at college basketball players, dreaming I would be in that position. Now, I can be a role model for younger girls. 

This sport has shaped me into the person I am today, and I am forever thankful. There will not be a time where I do not miss it, but it is time for me to take all the knowledge I have learned and characteristics I built and apply it to my future. I will never forget all the memories, and all my teammates and coaches have a special place in my heart. 

Basketball has been my life , and I am forever grateful for everything I have learned. I can say I am very excited about what the future holds, and I will never forget my time here at TWU.
