BETHANY, Okla. (Nov. 14, 2024) - The Texas Women's basketball team heads on the road to play in their next game on Friday, Nov. 15.

No.1 TWU (4-0) will face Southern Nazarene (1-1) on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

Coming off of a career high from Ariyanna Hines in their last game on Sunday, the Pioneers closed out the Conference Challenge 2-0 on the road in Denver, Colo.

Recently, on Nov. 2 and 3, SNU met Central Missouri and Pittsburg State. While the Storm did defeat Central Missouri, 68-65, they unfortunately fell to Pittsburg State, coming short by 18 points, 75-57.

ROAD TRIP
PIONEERS ON THE ROAD
  • A LOOK AT THE CRIMSON STORM: The Crimson Storm had a rather impressive season last year as they had an overall record of 30-3. With five new freshmen, SNU hopes to keep up the momentum they had last year. After falling to PSU in their last game, the Crimson Storm took on two exhibition games in the last two weeks in preparation for their match-up with TWU.
  • HISTORY WITH THE CRIMSON STORM: TWU and SNU have an extremely short history with each other as their first and last game together was in 1988. Though SNU emerged victorious in that gaem, TWU has had an extremely successful season both presently and last season, as in the 2023-24 season, the Pioneers had an overall record of 34-5. Now, the Pioneers remain undefeated as they start off their 2024-25 season.
  • THE PIONEERS PERSEVERANCE: In their last game, the Pioneers held MSU Denver to shooting 13.3% from the three-point line. Each person that played in that game also scored at least two points each. This shows just how talented the Pioneers are beyond their starting line-up. With Ashley Ingram adding 14 points to the win and Scout Huffman adding eight, the Pioneers look to capitilize on thier diversified scoring threats in the game against SNU.
