DENTON, Texas (March 1, 2025) – The Texas Woman's basketball team claimed the No. 1 seed in the Lone Star Conference Tournament for the third straight season, after defeating UT Tyler on Thursday night.
No. 1 TWU (28-1, 21-1) claimed the Co-Lone Star Conference Regular Season Champions Title, winning the LSC for the third straight season. The Pioneers claimed the same record in conference action as No. 11/12 Lubbock Christian (27-3, 21-1), but since the Pioneers defeated the Lady Chap in the regular season, TWU claimed the No. 1 seed.
The Pioneers will travel to the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas for the
LSC Conference Championships on March 6, 8 and 9. TWU will open the tournament on Thursday, March 6 at 6 p.m. against eight seed UT Permian Basin, which will be a rematch of the 2024 LSC Championship Title Game.
The semifinals will take place on Saturday, March 8 at 12 p.m., and the championship will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
Make plans to come cheer on the Pioneers! TWU will have a fan bus to the March 6 game that will depart at 4 p.m. Saturday departure is at 10 a.m. and Sunday departure is at 11 a.m. In addition, TWU has purchased tickets for the Pioneer fans.
