DENTON, Texas (Oct. 21, 2026) – The Texas Woman's volleyball team returns to Kitty Magee Arena this weekend for a pair of Lone Star Conference matchups against Lubbock Christian and Midwestern State.

The Pioneers (7-14, 4-7 LSC) will face Lubbock Christian (10-12, 6-6 LSC) on Friday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. before taking on Midwestern State (14-9, 9-3 LSC) on Saturday, Oct. 24.

TWU returns home following a three-match road stretch, which included a 3-0 victory over UT Permian Basin on Saturday, Oct. 17, and a five-set battle against Texas A&M International on Tuesday, Oct. 20.

Against TAMIU, the Pioneers claimed the opening and third sets before the Dustdevils rallied to secure a 3-2 victory. TWU finished the match with 50 kills, 45 assists, 73 digs and seven service aces.

Both matches will be streamed live on FloCollege, with live statistics available through StatBroadcast.

The Pioneers continue to showcase a strong defensive presence, averaging 17.3 digs and 2.2 blocks per set.

Through 21 matches, TWU has recorded 951 kills and 876 assists while hitting .165 as a team. The Pioneers average 12.2 kills and 11.2 assists per set.

At the service line, TWU has totaled 106 aces and averages 1.4 per set.

Defensively, the Pioneers have collected 1,348 digs and 173 total blocks. TWU has also held opponents to a .184 hitting percentage while allowing 12.1 kills per set.

Lubbock Christian enters Friday's matchup with a 10-12 overall record and a 6-6 mark in conference play.

The Lady Chaps have recorded 855 kills and 771 assists while hitting .183 as a team. LCU averages 11.9 kills and 10.7 assists per set.

At the service line, Lubbock Christian has totaled 120 aces and averages 1.7 per set.

Defensively, the Lady Chaps have recorded 1,073 digs and average 14.9 digs per set. LCU has also totaled 143 blocks and averages 2.0 blocks per set.

Lubbock Christian has allowed opponents to hit .199 while surrendering 12.8 kills per set.

Midwestern State enters the weekend with a 14-9 overall record and a 9-3 mark in LSC play.

The Mustangs have recorded 1,160 kills and 1,088 assists while hitting .215 as a team. MSU averages 13.2 kills and 12.4 assists per set.

At the service line, Midwestern State has totaled 129 aces and averages 1.5 per set.

Defensively, the Mustangs have collected 1,373 digs and average 15.6 digs per set. MSU has also recorded 114 blocks and averages 1.3 blocks per set.

Midwestern State has allowed opponents to hit .227 while surrendering 12.4 kills per set.

In the LSC rankings, TWU ranks third in blocks per set (2.22) and digs per set (17.28), while ranking eighth in opponent hitting percentage (.184). The Pioneers also rank ninth in kills per set (12.19) and assists per set (11.23).

Lubbock Christian ranks sixth in blocks per set (1.96), seventh in service aces per set (1.68) and 10th in digs per set (14.97). The Lady Chaps also rank 11th in hitting percentage (.180) and 15th in kills per set (11.77).

Midwestern State ranks second in assists per set (12.36), fifth in kills per set (13.18) and seventh in hitting percentage (.215). The Mustangs also rank sixth in digs per set (15.60) and eighth in points per set (15.94).
