DENTON, Texas (Oct. 6, 2026) - The Texas Woman's soccer team returns to Lone Star Conference play this week, hosting UT Permian Basin on Wednesday before traveling to face Texas A&M International on Saturday.
The No. 25 Pioneers, 11-1 overall and 7-1 in conference play, will host the Falcons at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Pioneer Soccer Park as part of the program's Breast Cancer Awareness game. TWU then hits the road Saturday to face Texas A&M International at 11 a.m. at Dustdevil Soccer Field in Laredo, Texas.
Through 12 matches, TWU has scored 27 goals while allowing just two. The Pioneers' defense has recorded 10 shutouts and allowed an average of 0.17 goals per match..Â

A LOOK AT UT PERMIAN BASIN: UT Permian Basin enters Wednesday's match with a 4-7 overall record and a 1-7 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Falcons most recently fell 4-0 to DBU on Oct. 3. UTPB has been held scoreless in its last two matches, including a 1-0 loss to Lubbock Christian before its matchup with the Patriots.

DUSTDEVILS SET TO HOST PIONEERSÂ

A LOOK AT TEXAS A&M INTERNATIONAL: Texas A&M International enters the week with a 2-8 overall record and a 2-5 mark in Lone Star Conference play. The Dustdevils fell 1-0 to UT Dallas on Oct. 3 following a 3-0 loss to No. 2 DBU on Sept. 30. TAMIU will look to regain the form that earned the Dustdevils a 2-0 shutout victory over UTPB earlier this season.Â

A LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU's defense continues to be a key to the team's success this season. The Pioneers have allowed just two goals through 12 matches, with their lone defeat coming on the road against No. 21 Midwestern State. Most recently, TWU extended its winning streak with a 2-0 shutout victory over UT Tyler last Saturday. Freshman midfielder Lauren Wade leads the team in goals, while the Pioneer attack has consistently outshot its opponents. TWU has also posted a 51.9% shots-on-goal rate through the 2026 campaign.
TWU will host UT Permian Basin at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Pioneer Soccer Park. On Saturday, Oct. 10, the Pioneers will travel to Laredo to face Texas A&M International at 11 a.m.
