A LOOK AT UTD: UTD enters Monday's contest after a first-round overtime thriller against Lubbock Christian in Lubbock on Friday, Oct.30. The Comets finished the regular season 9-5-4 overall and 5-5-4 in conference play after closing the regular season with a 2-1 loss to UT Tyler. Defensively, the Comets will aim to continue their strong fight against Texas Woman's and lean on goalkeeper Melyna Martinez to keep the Pioneers out of the net.

AÂ LOOK AT THE PIONEERS: TWU enters the Lone Star Conference Tournament quarterfinals on a two-game winning streak. The Pioneers have dominated defensively by allowing only three goals over the entire year, and they will hope to pick things up offensively to carry them into the postseason with a more balanced attack. Lauren Wade leads the Pioneers with 11 goals on 49 shots and 24 total points to go along with two assists. Defensively, TWU has recorded a program-high 15 shutouts this season, including three straight heading into the postseason. TWU will need to elevate its level of play on the offensive end while maintaining a solid defensive foundation to keep its postseason momentum rolling at Pioneer Soccer Park.
The quarterfinal round of the Lone Star Conference Tournament for the Pioneers begins Monday at 7 p.m. as TWU hosts UTD for a spot in Thursday's semifinal round in Dallas.
