PRIOR TO TWU: Began her collegiate softball career with two seasons (2007, 2008) of play at North Central Texas College (NCTC) in Gainesville, Texas…the Lady Lions posted a stellar 84-35 record during Hinojosa’s two years on campus…in 2007, NCTC went 39-19 and qualified for the Region V tournament…in 2008, the team was 45-16, won the Northern Texas Junior College Athletic Conference title and advanced again to the Region V tournament.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned three softball varsity letters (2004-06) at Keller High School in Keller, Texas…in 2006, her senior season, she helped the Indians to a runner-up finish in the UIL Class 5A Texas State Tournament and was picked for the All-District 5-5A second team…as a junior in 2005, she was a part of the Keller team that won the UIL Class 5A Texas State Championship…also named to the 2005 UIL Class 5A All-State team, the All-District 5-5A first team, and the NWSA All-Tournament team…her first season of varsity softball in 2004 was a successful one as she received honorable mention All-District 5-5A…was a high school teammate of fellow Pioneers Tiffanie Boone and Hayley Siebman…played select softball for the Fort Worth BatBusters 18 and under team.
PERSONAL: An interdisciplinary studies major…born May 16, 1988…the daughter of Kim and Rick Hinojosa…hobbies include running, shopping at Target, fishing, and being outdoors…career goal is to teach special education at the middle school level.
