Welcome to another exciting year of TWU Gymnastics!

My name is Amie Boles and I am a senior Kinesiology/Pre-PT major. I am looking forward to this year because we have great new team with a lot of drive and enthusiasm. I can tell that we are going to become a strong talented team in search of a successful season.

This week began with our second week of classes, and school is already in full swing. As a team we have a reputation of academic excellence; it is going to be crucial that we remain on top of our class schedules and course work. So wish us luck as we tackle our school work!!

On top of school we have also been experiencing a little bit of what is known as the often dreaded “SEPTEMBER.” During September we work to improve our strength, endurance, and overall fitness with running, sprints, lifting, circuits, and even gymnastics! It is definitely a bonding period for us as a team because we face many challenges; but in return, we grow as we try to make it through as a whole unit. With morning runs, conditioning, and the other conditioning surprises our wonderful coaches think up, we feed off of each other’s positive attitudes to make it a rewarding experience. This has only been our first week of September, so there is much more to look forward to!

This weekend we also had three recruits come visit us! It was a great weekend. We spent time at dinner, playing sand volleyball, and getting to know one another. I had the chance to be a host and it was very exciting to see the whole team participate and show the recruits how rewarding it is to be a member of the TWU Gymnastics team.

Check back with us next week! Our first official practice is Friday, September 12 th!
