Hello TWU Gymnastics Fans!
What a great week it has been! Everyone got into the gym at the beginning of the week with such drive and determination for the Intrasquad meet ahead. Then the big night came and we had an outstanding 703 fans supporting TWU Gymnastics! Everyone was so thrilled to see so many people there cheering us on! Intrasquad is an introductory competition for our team. It is a time where the new rookies get a chance to experience what a college gymnastics competition is like, and we also introduce our new team to our fans. The whole squad is separated in to three smaller teams. This year we had a red team, a green team, and a white team. The three teams competed on vault, bars and beam. Everyone came together in the end to watch six gymnasts perform floor routines. The white team came out on top as victors for the night.
I can definitely say that we had a very successful night! Everyone did their best and produced some amazing gymnastics! The new freshmen really got into it and proved themselves once again. One of the main high points of the evening was Michelle Graves competing balance beam for the first time ever in her college career and scoring one of the highest scores on beam! Way to go, Michelle! I am very proud of my teammates and the hard work that everyone has put in these past couple months. It really showed at the Intrasquad competition. I am so excited for everyone to get back in the gym and work hard these next couple of meets in order to get ready for our big first meet against Kentucky!
Check back soon for more great updates!
Happy Holidays!!
Dream. Desire. Vision. We are ONE.
