Pioneer Fans! Thank you so much for keeping up with our travels as we reach for our ultimate goal – the 2009 USAG National Championship!

We began the day with an excellent breakfast and the annual USAG banquet. We got dressed up for the occasion and enjoyed a few encouraging speeches and a picture slide show from last year. It is always humorous to watch the pictures that show up!

We also participated in a practice session at the site of competition Moore Field House on the SCSU campus. This was an excellent opportunity for us to adjust to the equipment and prepare for the preliminary competition tomorrow at 5:00 pm. Everyone looked great and confident in our new psych gifts!

We also took the scenic route to explore New Haven. The 10-minute ride from the field house back to the hotel turned into an adventurous one with several detours that only ended in hungry gymnast! Needless to say we enjoyed a lovely dinner at a local Italian restaurant.

Tomorrow is a big day; it begins our first day of competition! We are very excited to represent TWU with pride! I know this team has prepared and worked extremely hard for this moment. We will begin the competition on beam and continue to floor, vault, and then bars. Wish us luck as we compete tomorrow!!
