Freshman Margaret Mayfield was selected as the Pioneer of the Week the week of Oct. 18-24.  It is Mayfield's second time to receive the honor this fall.

"The coaches want to recognize her outstanding work ethic," said Associate Head Coach Lisa Bowerman.  "She works hard every single day in the gym to improve her skills on every event. She always listens well to coaches’ corrections and always makes the effort to make the changes that the coaches are asking her to make. She always maintains a positive attitude."

"She is also doing a great job in school. Her grades are very good, and we see her working hard in team study halls as well. Overall she is working very hard and setting a positive example each and every day in and out of the gym" said Bowerman.
