Hello TWU Gymnastics Fans!

We had a very short week before travelling to LSU this past weekend. The team had two practices and an individual assignment day to get ready to travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Everyone was very focused on being efficient and getting their assignments done. We were also excited to experience competing against LSU and have some fun.

It started snowing on Thursday, but that did not affect our trip. We took a charter bus this time because the trip there and back was so long. The competition started off with LSU on vault while we started on bars. The bar team did a great job of starting us off on a good note, hitting 6 for 6 with some awesome stuck dismounts. We had a little bit of trouble on our last event which was beam. Although we had a little trouble, the team took the meet as a good learning experience and as something from.

Because of the crazy weather we were delayed with coming back home to Texas. We finally made the long trek back to Denton for some rest time. I am very excited for everyone to have some time to rest their bodies and come back into the gym ready to focus and work hard. There is a great chance for us to do very well this next weekend when we travel to Ball State to compete against them and Illinois State who we will also compete against at our Conference Championships.
