Hey Pioneer Fans!

We are juniors Kristie Costa and Caroline Hilpisch. It has been another wonderful week for TWU gymnastics! This weekend we got to cheer on our team mate Rashonda Cannie who competed at the NCAA Regionals in Missouri. Even though we were not all there to be with her, we were still there in spirit and got to watch her live online! She rotated with the University of Georgia, so we got to see just about all of her routines! She did a great job and ended up placing 12th in the all around. Way to go Ro! We are all so very proud of you!

This past week we focused on fine tuning things for nationals. Coach has still been emphasizing that we use “strong” words and stay focused. Everyone has been showing these traits and has definitely been putting in lots of hard work in the gym. We couldn’t be more ready for this next week and we know that we will be behind each other 100%. Getting ready for nationals takes lots of hard training days, focus and determination. We have all put in so much hard work inside and outside of the gym this year. And now we are just so excited and ready for all of our hard work to finally pay off! The team can’t wait to compete at home in front of all of our friends, family and fans for the national championship!

We only have a couple more practices until the big day arrives! This next week we are going to compete with our EYES, HEARTS, and MINDS. Check back for updates on how nationals is going and we hope that we see everyone there to support the TWU gymnastics team!
