Hello Pioneer Fans!

It has been a great week in the gym following our MIC Championship win!

Without a meet this past weekend we have a little break and have been able to change up our schedule a little bit. The day after our conference win we were back at it with a conditioning practice, we had a team lift and cardio. The shorter practice gave us chance to catch up on some studying! Monday and Tuesday we were in the gym for practice! It was nice to be able to have some time to focus on the details on our routines and a little change in our workout regiments. Wednesday was a day off, great day for recuperation and school work. Thursday was back in the gym with routines! This week has been a great chance for us to focus on the final touches for preparation of the National Championship in the near future!

We had great news also, sophomore Rashonda Cannie, qualified for the NCAA South Central Regional Championships in the All Around competition. This is a very prestigious meet, and we are so proud to have her representing our school! She has worked hard this season and deserves to have a great meet! Rashonda will be competing at the University of Missouri on April 10th. We wish her the best!

This has been a great week for us to give our bodies a little break from the demanding schedule of competition season. The schedule also allowed for a few days off this weekend for the Easter holiday. Many people were able to go home for a few days and spend time with their families! For those who do not go home, many of us were able to spend the holiday together as well. There was an Easter celebration at my house with some great food, great community, and great memories made.

Check back soon for more Pioneer news!
