Hello Pioneer Fans!

What a GREAT way to start off the National Championships! Since the beginning of the week, we have all been unbelievably excited to start competing, and today, we finally got going! The energy was felt upon our arrival in the training room in the afternoon.. Meet Day!
We all prepared for our meet, just like any other home meet, with the comfort of our home gym and fans!

We had a great warm-up, starting on beam, and just working our way through the events; not having to make any major corrections, just letting each second soak in, taking one thing at a time.

After warm-ups, we were able to carry on our normal team traditions before the meet, which was so warming and comforting, followed by an amazing spike in energy as soon as we stepped out on the floor. The fans were louder than ever; showing their support and Pioneer Pride like they always do.

We started on beam, setting a great foundation and support each other 100%. We then headed to floor, kept the excitement and energy going with some great routines, and moved on to vault for six solid vault scores. Last was bars, and we continued doing our job straight through until the last set, holding each other accountable and having each others backs. Overall, a great way to start out the National Championships! We had quite a few girls on team qualifying to individual finals for Saturday, and Rashonda took home the All-Around Champion Title! Go Ro!

Friday is the day we have all been waiting for, and this team is more prepared and more ready than ever! As a senior, this is such a memorable evening to be apart of such an extraordinary team, and be at our own gym with our home crowd for our last and final meet. Cannot wait to see what the evening holds in store for us, and looking forward to seeing all our friends, family and fans there!
