Senior Marcella Fallon has been selected as the Pioneer of the Week for the week of Oct. 10-16, 2011.

"Marcella has really stepped up in a lot of ways as a leader for this team both in and out of the gym," said TWU head coach Lisa Bowerman.  "She was voted team co-captain by her team, which clearly says a lot about that leadership role that she has taken on.  She has shown her leadership as well through her struggles after having knee surgery two weeks ago.  She has worked diligently on her rehab and is already on the road back to doing gymnastics very soon.  Even though she hasn’t been able to do full training in the gym she has never stopped cheering for her teammates and motivating them to do better.  She has also started the semester by doing exceptionally well in all of her classes.  We are very proud of the hard work that she has put in and the leader that she has become!”
