Hello everyone! I’m Margaret Mayfield, a sophomore mathematics major minoring in business.  I’m so psyched about beginning my fourth semester as a TWU Pioneer gymnast!  I know this year is going to be a memorable one! This past week has been fantastic! We are all back together after two wonderful weeks of being home with our families! 

We came in Monday to begin the week with our bodies and minds refreshed and ready! We had a great three event day! Tuesday was another great workout before our break on Wednesday.  Our day off provided several ways to avoid boredom. We all took advantage of the training room doing rehab and everything else we could in order to keep our bodies happy.  Some of our team went to support our Pioneer basketball team in their first home game of the 2012 year. Also, we had a team get-together sponsored by freshman Spencer Jones to cook, play games, and enjoy the day off. We went back into the gym on Thursday after our day of rest, and took practice to a new sound level with so much cheering!! Friday was a terrific end to the week as we prepare to make history!

Next week presents some very important events for your Pioneers! We are having in-house intrasquads on both Sunday and Monday. Prepare to be amazed!  Also, our first competition of the season is on the 14th at 7:00 pm against the Air Force Academy.  Hope to see and hear all of you there!
