Freshman Spencer Jones has been selected as the Pioneer of the Month for the month of January 2012.

"Spencer has continued to stand out to us every single day," said TWU head coach Lisa Bowerman.  "Her work ethic in practice continues to impress both the coaches and her teammates.  Each and every day we know that we can count on her to come into the gym with a great attitude and giving 100% to improve and to help her team.  This work ethic and preparation has carried over into competition as well.  She has done an incredible job of being ready to compete on all 4 events whenever the team needs her.  She has even received an MIC Specialist of the week award, which is just icing on the cake!  We are so proud of Spencer and her achievements both in and out of the gym.  She was definitely an obvious choice for our first ever Pioneer of the Month award."
