Hello TWU gymnastics fans! This is Bethany Larimer again. I just wanted to share with you a few things that have been going on with the team this past week.

We had a good week of practice, but we topped off the week with a great practice on Thursday. Everyone seemed confident and ready for a great weekend!

We headed off to Denver Friday morning. Everyone was in such high spirits and we were all enjoying ourselves. Saturday morning was nice and relaxing. We had lots of time to prep and get ready for the meet against Denver and Oregon State. Going into the meet everyone was so excited and in such a great mood! Even though we are not as high ranked as the other teams we were determined to go in there and show them that we can compete with them. We started off the night on beam. It was a shaky start but everyone fought to the finish. We performed stronger on the last three events which showed that even though we had a few mishaps we could pull it back together and finish strong. 

We did not end up doing as well as we were capable of, but we had some strong points. One thing that I love about this team is how we always keep our spirits up! Even though we did not win, we were all out there cheering for each other the entire time. I am proud to say we were definitely the loudest team out there! We learned from our mistakes and I know everyone is ready to get back in the gym and work hard so we can have a great week!

We have a short week this week as we travel to Southeast Missouri State, one of our conference rivals. I know we will all do our best to be efficient and get stuff done. Can’t wait to see what awesome things are to come this week!
