PRIOR TO TWU

From Rabat, Morocco, Jennah Hafsi was a pioneer in starting artistic swimming in Morocco. According to Hafsi, "I created an opportunity for the young girls in my country by starting the sport of Artistic Swimming, which is a predominantly female sport, in Morocco. In Morocco, there are not alot of opportunities in fully female sports, so by being a pioneer of the art swim program in Morocco is extremely important to me. There is also an under representation of African/Arab sports on the world stage, and by competing at multiple World Championships and World Cup events, I have brought the third African and second Arab nationality program to the world stage." Hafsi has been competing in artistic swimming for 13 years and swimming for five years. She was named the African Champion at the 2023 and 2024 World Championships and the Arab Champion at the 2023 and 2024 World Championships. Hafsi also competed in the 2023 World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan, the March 2023 Markham, the Canada World Cup, the May 2023 Soma Bay, the Egypt World Cup and the 2024 World Championships in Doha, Qatar. Additionally, her great aunt became the first female engineer in the country of Morocco.
