Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2024) 
In her third season with the Pioneers, Latchford helped lead the Pioneers to a historic finish at the 2024 U.S. Collegiate National Championships, as TWU placed third overall – their highest finish in program history. At the competition, Latchford swam trio with Maya Schwickert and Makayla Crichton and placed fifth, swimming a base mark free routine. Then, she swam team with Schwickert, Candela Fidalgo Garcia, Regina Ramirez, Crichton, Maribella Falconer and Kimberly Poitras, placing fifth - the highest placement in program history. At the end of the season, Latchford was named to the MPSF All-Academic Team. Additionally, she received the All-Collegiate Award for the third year in a row. At the 2024 Oakleys for TWU, Latchford was selected as the Artistic Swimming Outstanding Athlete of the Year. To start the season, Latchford debuted her trio for the first time on Jan. 22 and placed third against Stanford. She also placed third in team against Stanford. Against Ohio State on Feb. 12, Latchord’s trio finished first and the team placed second, as the Pioneers defeated Ohio State. Then, on Feb. 19, TWU placed third at the MPSF Championship. Latchford swam trio and placed third, and then swam team and placed fifth.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2023)

In her sophomore campaign for the Pioneers, Latchford started off the season with a 74.6667 to place first in the solo category in their opener against Wheaton College (Mass.) on Jan. 28, while contributing to a new program high team score of 77.6000. She contributed to a season high in the trio competition at the Jessica Beck Memorial Competition versus Ohio State and Michigan with a score of 78.2250 points. Latchford contributed to third place finishes for TWU at the 2023 Cactus Classic and South Zone Regional Collegiate Championships after competing as a soloist and placing second in each meet. She became the first Pioneer in program history to place in the top three in an event at the conference championships after placing third in the solo competition at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Championships.

Latchford helped guide the team to a fourth place finish in the U.S. Collegiate Nationals and was listed on the 2023 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic Team and also named an All-American for the second straight year.


AS A FRESHMAN (2022) 
Competed in the inaugural season of TWU Artistic Swim. Made her debut at the TWU Tri-Meet against Stanford and UIW on January 28-29, 2022. This season, she competed in A technical Figures, solo, duet and team events. All-MPSF honoree, USAAS All-Collegiate Award recipient and USAAS All-American. Scored a season-high 74.1411 in the A technical event on February 12 at the MPSF Championships to place 16th overall. Also scored a solo season-high at the MPSF Championship on Febrauary 12, with a 78.7000 to place fourth overall. In her duet with Maribella Falconer, they scored a season-high 76.3333 at the MPSF Championship on Febraury 12 to place fourth overall. At the U.S. Collegiate National Championship, she placed fourth overall in solo and seventh overall in duet. She also helped lead the team to a fifth-place team swim in the final round at the 2022 U.S. Collegiate National Championship and a fourth-place overall finish.

PRIOR TO TWU

Attended Frederick Law Olmsted High School and Laurel Springs Academy. She has experience competing in A-Technical Routine, solo, duet and team events. Latchford competed on the USA Jr. National Artistic Swimming Team for two years. She is a four-time USA Jr. Olympic Champion and a USA National Championship Finalist. She is an East Zone Scholar Athlete and an East Zone Jr. Duet and Solo Champion. She swam with the Buffalo Swimkins.
