Texas Woman's University Athletics

Emily Jensen joins the Pioneer Pride coaching staff as no stranger to dance at Texas Woman’s University.

Jenson assisted in leading the Pioneer Pride Dance Team to a third place finish in Spirit Rally at the 2024 National Dance Alliance (NDA) College Nationals. During the 2023-24 season, the Pioneers recorded two Championship titles at the American Drill/Dance Team Competition at the University of North Texas and the Union Virtual College Classic.

Prior to becoming Coach Assistant, Jensen danced as a member of the Pioneer Pride Dance Team in its inaugural year, 2017-2018. During this year, she led Pioneer Pride as Captain and was named a National Dance Alliance All-American Collegiate Dancer.

Jensen finished her time as an undergraduate at TWU by graduating with her BA in Dance Education in 2020. She then became Pioneer Pride's Graduate Assistant for the next three years, earning her Master of Fine Arts from TWU in 2023. Prior to TWU, Jensen earned her AA in Dance from Kilgore College in 2017.

In addition to Coach Assistant, Jensen serves as an Adjunct Professor of Dance at the University of North Texas and a Veteran Staff member with Danceline USA.

She currently lives in Dallas, TX while working professionally as a dance educator, choreographer, performer, and presenter within a variety of national and international dance spaces.
