PRIOR TO TWU: Played at Grayson County College in Denison, TX for coach Theresa Barnett from 2007-09…named the 2008 First Team All-Conference as a designated player...selected the 2009 Second Team All-Conference as a shortstop.

HIGH SCHOOL: A four-year softball letterwinner at Denison High School…she was a 5-4A First Team All-District her senior year...also selected to the First Team All-Texoma Land Player of the Year...named to the all-tournament team at North Lamar Tournament in 2007...selected Female Athlete of the Year by Herald Democrat...also played volleyball and was named First Team All-District her senior year...graduated with a perfect 4.0 and was the member of the National Honor Society...named to Who’s Who Among American High School Students...also honored as UIL Scholar, Army Athlete Scholar, Texas Scholar, and Socrates Scholar.

PERSONAL: Majoring in kinesiology…born on June 8, 1989…the daughter of Kevin Burns.
