Biography

AS A FRESHMAN (2024)
Long appeared in 11 games for the Pioneers as a freshman, where she recorded seven hits, two RBI, two runs, and had an on-base percentage of .345. Defensively, she finished with 35 putouts. Long was named to the Fall 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.

PRIOR TO TWU
Abby Long hails from Forney, Texas, where she attended Forney High School. As the catcher for her high school softball team, she helped lead her team to the 2021 Area Finals and the 2022 Regional Quarterfinals. 

Long was named First Team All-District in 2021 and 2022. Alongside her athletic ability, she brings a strong academic background being named to the 2022 Academic All-District team.
