HIGH SCHOOL: Enjoyed a standout career at Denton’s Billy Ryan High School…played four seasons for the Raiders (2005-08)…as a senior in 2008 she totaled 190 strikeouts, a 2.11 ERA, and a 17-8 record…she was the 2008 District 5-4A Pitcher of the Year and the 2008 Denton Record-Chronicle All-Area Pitcher of the Year…also was a 2008 All-District 5-4A first team choice…as a junior in 2007, she helped the Raiders to a runner-up finish in the UIL Class 4A State Tournament…list of 2007 awards is extensive – District 5-4A Most Valuable Player, All-District 5-4A first team, All-Area Pitcher of the Year, Dallas Morning News All-Area Second Team Pitcher, Texas Sports Writers Association All-State first team…in 2006, she garnered All-Area first team and Dallas Morning News All-Area Honorable Mention recognition…on four occasions in 2006 she was also named as the Denton Record-Chronicle Player of the Week…burst onto the local softball scene as a freshman in 2005 as she was named the District 5-5A Newcomer of the Year, picked for the All-District 5-5A first team, chosen as an All-Area second team choice, and tabbed as honorable mention All-Area by the Dallas Morning News…a teammate at RHS with fellow freshman softball player Jessica LaMonica…played select softball with the Denton Doom from 1999-2008…a member of the AB Honor Roll and the recommended high school program at Ryan.
PERSONAL: A health studies major…the daughter of Bobby and Janet Luster…hobbies include camping and spending time with her family…calls softball star Jennie Finch her role model…fan of the Rocky movie series.
