Texas Woman's University Athletics

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four (2005-08) varsity softball letters at Lewisville (Texas) High School…was a very accomplished player for the Fighting Farmers…named the District 6-5A Offensive Player of the Year in both 2007 and 2008…a two-time All-District 6-5A first team choice as a catcher…was the 2008 LHS team MVP…as a freshman in 2005 she was tabbed as the LHS Defensive Player of the Year…garnered second team All-District 6-5A honors following her sophomore season of 2006…her 2008 stat line at LHS included 33 hits (10 doubles two triples), 23 runs scored, 14 walks, and a .452 batting average…graduated in May 2008 with a 38 grade point average…named Academic All-District 6-5A team four years in a row (2005-08)…played club softball for the Denton Doom (2007-08).

PERSONAL: An interdisciplinary studies major…born Oct. 2, 1989…the daughter of Kevin and Michelle Giesen…her mother graduated from TWU in 1994…hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, watching movies, and outdoor activities…aspires to be a softball coach.
