Biography

PRIOR TO TWU (2025)
Caydance Gaddis attended the University of North Texas for one year after a standout career at McKinney High School. She led the Lions to their first playoff berth since 2016 and broke her own single-season program record with 273 strikeouts. Gaddis concluded her high school career in 2024 with more than 800 strikeouts, earned three First Team All-District honors, was named Academic All-District each year, and received District MVP honors in her final season.

As a freshman, the sophomore pitcher appeared in one game in the circle for the Mean Green, pitching 0.2 innings on 22 pitches in a 10–3 win over Yale. She also contributed offensively and defensively, finishing the season with nine runs scored, two stolen bases, and five putouts.
