Alyssa LeBlanc joins the Pioneers as a Graduate Assistant, no stranger to softball at TWU.
In 2023, as a student-athlete, LeBlanc started in 52 games at the plate and made 22 of 31 appearances on the mound for TWU. As a hitter, she achieved a batting average of .392 and a slugging percentage of .851, recording 58 hits, 37 runs, 46 RBIs, and 18 total home runs. In the circle, she finished with an ERA of 1.71 in 184.2 innings pitched, amassing 294 strikeouts—a TWU single-season record. She also set a TWU and LSC single-game record for strikeouts with 23 against Angelo St. on March 7, allowing only two earned runs in 12.1 innings pitched.
LeBlanc earned First Team All-LSC Honors and was selected by D2CCA for the All-South Central Region First Team. She was named a First Team NFCA All-American, receiving her first NFCA Division II First Team Honor. Additionally, she was listed on the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll.
Before joining TWU, LeBlanc transferred from Texas A&M Commerce and attended Katy High School, where she played varsity softball all four years. She was a three-time District MVP and earned All-State and All-District honors throughout her high school career. As a senior, she hit .448 and posted an ERA of 0.81 in the circle, appearing in the 2019 State Championships and being named the 2019 State MVP.
After high school, she played softball at Texas A&M-Commerce, helping lead the Lions to the 2022 Lone Star Conference Championship title. In 2021, she was named First Team All-LSC and made the LSC All-Freshman Team. In 2022, she received First Team All-LSC honors and was named the LSC Tournament MVP. She was also recognized on the NFCA and D2CCA All-South Central Region Second Team, throwing two no-hitters and starting 49 of 50 games played on the mound for the Pioneers.
Alyssa graduated earlier this year with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, emphasizing Sport Management from TWU. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Business Management.
