Ashley Martin begins her first season as a graduate assistant coach. She played four years for the Pioneers from 2005-09.
Martin pitched in 111 games in four years and posted a 4.28 ERA with a 23-39 record and 248 strikeouts. She pitched a school record 10.0 innings in a game against Texas A&M-Kingsville in 2006. Martin also struck out seven batters against East Central her junior year.
Martin was a three-year letterwinner at Santa Fe High School. She earned All-District honors her senior year after posting a 17-2 pitching record and helping the Indians to the UIL Class 4A regional finals.
Martin earned her bachelor’s degree in marketing from TWU in December. She is pursuing her master’s degree.
