The Official Website of the Texas Woman's University Pioneers
Casey Clifton is in her first year with the Pioneers, after previously coaching in Texas and Oregon from 2004-2015 as a pitching coach. In 2006, she played on the Professional Team of England in Oklahoma City.
Coach Clifton's Coaching Philosophy:
I approach the game of softball like I do most things in my life - play hard, play together, play smart. I see coaching as an opportunity to advance and improve the performance and execution of all of our student-athletes. My goal is to inspire a culture of excellence with all of our players, not only on the field but in the classroom.
It’s not about an individual’s achievements and success, it’s about respecting the game and everyone who dedicates their life to the common goals of our team. The success of a team is based on enthusiasm, devotion, and love for not only softball but one another.
We, as competitors, play to win but, we also play to expand our tool-set and condition our future selves. We gain a unique experience of self-betterment through the challenges and passion we endure through softball. We build pride in our team and honor the reputation of Texas Woman’s University, through hard work and commitment to each other.
