Jerod Stidham was named as the Pioneers' assistant softball coach in September of 2013.
Stidham, who brought seven years of collegiate coaching experience to TWU, served as an assistant coach/hitting instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma from 1999-2002 before becoming the head coach at Western Oklahoma State College from 2002-2006.
Stidham posted a 108-82 overall record at Western Oklahoma State including the two most successful winning seasons in school history in 2003 and 2004. He coached three NJCAA All-Americans and four Academic All-Americans.
In 2002, Stidham helped coach UCO to its first appearance in the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament. The Bronchos tied a then-school record in wins with 35.
Most recently Stidham was the League/Tournament Director at Del City Ball Park, a 12-field baseball/softball complex just east of Oklahoma City, Okla.
Stidham earned his bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Business Administration in 2001 and a master’s degree in Education in 2003, both from UCO. He is married to TWU Head Softball Coach Genny Stidham and they have a daughter Allie and a son Connor.
