Kristin Smith

Kristin Smith is in her fourth season as an assistant softball coach at Texas Woman’s University.

Smith came to TWU with extensive collegiate softball coaching experience on her resume. For two years, 2005-07, she served as the assistant softball coach at Vernon College in Vernon, Texas. Prior to her stint at Vernon, she was the assistant softball coach from August 2004 - May 2005 at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (USAO) in Chickasha, Okla. For the past four summers she worked as a camp counselor at the nationally acclaimed University of Texas Softball Camps.

Before embarking on her coaching career, Smith was a successful collegiate softball player. As a catcher, she played two seasons (2000-02) at Vernon College and then transferred to USAO where she played from 2002-04. She earned multiple All-Conference and All-Region honors at both Vernon and USAO. Additionally, she received her Associate of Arts in General Studies from Vernon in May 2002, and her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from USAO in August 2005.

Smith lives in Flower Mound, Texas, with her husband, Chris. The couple was married in the summer of 2008.
