PRIOR TO TWU: Played two seasons (2007, 2008) at Vernon College in Vernon, Texas…enjoyed a prosperous 2008 season as she hit .358 with 16 runs scored and 21 runs batted in…eight of her 34 base hits were doubles and she drew 18 walks.
HIGH SCHOOL: Was a four-year starter (2003-06) at Garland (Texas) High School…played a primary role on the Lady Owls team that won four straight (2003-06) District 6-5A titles, made two Region II semifinal appearances (2003, 2004), finished as the UIL Class 5A State Runner-Up (in 2005), and won the UIL Class 5A State Championship (in 2006)…an All-District 6-5A choice in 2005 and 2006…also garnered All-City first team recognition in 2005…won the GHS Freshman Athlete of the Year award for 2002-03…also claimed the Fighting Owl Award as a senior in 2006…in addition to her softball pursuits, she also was a four-year letterwinner on the GHS basketball team…found academic success as well at Garland as she graduated in May 2006 with a 3.0 grade point average and was a member of the Who’s Who Among High School Students, the BETA Club, and the Honor Roll.
PERSONAL: A kinesiology major…born Jun. 12, 1988…the daughter of Mark Lipscomb and Lynn Duyck…hobbies include outdoor activities, hunting, going to the movies, playing paintball, and shopping…brother Steven is pursuing his Masters in Kinesiology at TWU.
