Michelle Rogers recovered from first-year tensions and enjoyed a very successful fall season... in 1997, she was Coach Baker's number one sub, coming into the game 23 times... with her as the team's second catcher, TWU has depth behind the plate... Rogers also has a nice swing... prior to TWU, Rogers was a four-year softball letterwinner and a 1996 graduate of Georgetown High School... Rogers was awarded All-District Honorable Mention her freshman year, 1st team all-district and 2nd team all-Centex her sophomore year, 1st team all-district her junior and senior years... she was also selected to the West All-Stars 1st Team... at the plate in 1996, Rogers had one of the highest batting averages (.404) for the Lady Eagles... she was also a member of HOSA, Student Council, Young Life, and the Key Club.
