AS A JUNIOR (2023-24)
In her first year with the Pioneers, Glud Rasmussen helped guide the Pioneers to a historic, record-breaking season. During the 2023-24 season, the Pioneers claimed the LSC Regular Season Title and East Division Title for the second consecutive year. Then, they won the LSC Tournament Title for the second time in program history and first time since 2011. TWU finished with their highest regional ranking, one, and hosted the South Central Regional Tournament for the first time in program history, claiming the 2024 South Central Regional Tournament Title for the first time in program history. After TWU advanced to the Elite Eight for the first time in program history, they made more history by closing the season as the 2024 National Runner-Up. During the season, TWU set numerous records: most wins (34), fewest losses (5), most points in a season (2,826), most assists (603), most field goals made (978), most field goals attempted (2,141), most free throws made (666), and most free throws attempted (858). They closed the season with their highest national ranking in program history at No. 2. Glud Rasmussen appeared in 36 games and started 20 for the Pioneers. She played 530 minutes, averaging 14.7 per game. She scored 123 total points, grabbed 10 steals, secured 83 total rebounds and averaged 43.8% from the field. She scored a TWU career high 11 points on Feb. 15 against TAMIU. She grabbed a TWU career high seven rebounds on Feb. 29 against UT Tyler, and secured a TWU career high three assists on Feb. 1 against OC.
PRIOR TO TWU
Caroline Glud Rasmussen, from Kongens Lyngby, Denmark, played with the Lady Cougars for two seasons. Over the course of two seasons, she started in 59 of 60 appearances and averaged 26.2 minutes per game. A force on the glass, Rasmussen, a 5-11 guard, grabbed 168 rebounds over the course of her sophomore season, with 27 of those rebounds being on the offensive end. She also grabbed 66 steals this year, proving to be a strong defensive threat.Rasmussen hit her career high of 21 points three times during the 2022-23 season and recorded two double-doubles on the season, with a career high mark of 14 rebounds on Feb. 22. She grabbed double-digit rebounds four times throughout the season. Rasmussen helped guide the Lady Cougars to a 29-3 overall record and a perfect 11-0 at home during her sophomore year. In 2023, the Lady Cougars became the first team in Collin College history to make the NJCAA National Tournament as the No. 10 seed. Rasmussen also brings international tournament experience to the Pioneers, having played in the FIBA U18 European Championships Division B in 2017 and 2019, scoring a personal high of 10 points against Kosovo. She was most recently selected to play for the Denmark 3v3 National Team.
